The sterile gauze swabs come in many formats, sizes and quantities.

The following sizes are reimbursable by the Italian National Health Service:

  • 10cm x 10cm (4 packs of 25 cut gauze swabs)
  • 10cm x 10cm (2 packs of 25 cut gauze swabs)
  • 10cm x 10cm (1 pack of 25 cut gauze swabs)
  • 18cm x 40cm (12 packs of 1 single folded gauze swab)
  • 36cm x 40cm (12 packs of 1 single folded gauze swab)

Here is a list of the sizes that are not reimbursable:

  • 15cm x 15cm (1 pack of 25 cut gauze swabs)
  • 20cm x 20cm (1 pack of 25 cut gauze swabs)
  • 70cm x 100cm (1 pack of 1 single cut gauze swab)

Time to change the bandage!
