aerosol accessories All the aerosol therapy devices come with a tube for connecting the accessories and the phial or sphere where the medication is introduced. In addition to these, are the accessories through which the nebulised medication is inhaled: mouthpiece, nasal fork or dispenser and mask for adults and children.
Each patient should have their own kit including a tube, nebulising phial and mouthpiece, mask, and nasal fork to prevent any microbial contamination deriving from shared use by different people.
The accessories are a very important part of the device and to ensure proper operation they must be thoroughly cleaned after each aerosol therapy treatment and periodically replaced. It is recommended that they be replaced every 100-120 treatments.
The accessories (mouthpiece, nasal fork or dispenser, and mask for adults and children) must be cold-disinfected with denatured alcohol while the connecting tube must be rinsed with water. The components of the AirFast nebulising phial must be immersed in boiling water for approximately 5 minutes. It is recommended that they be replaced every 25-30 treatments.
They are CE 0470 medical devices. Carefully read the instructions before use.
